The microneedle stimulates collagen production in the skin without damaging the skin. When micro-needling is combined with PRP, this procedure is also known as "vampire facial" or "collagen induction therapy". If done with PRP the process will start by collecting the patients blood, the sample then will be centrifuged to isolate the platelets, forming the platelet-rich plasma (PRP) concentration, which will after be used for the micro-needling part of the procedure. The procedure can also be done with Hyaluronic Acid if the patient prefers it that way.
